This European Chess set is very striking. The first thing that strikes you is it’s very large size. The board measures over 19 inches! Hand burned characters down the sides of the boards and intricate decorative pressings make this a really impressive chess board.
The chess pieces have been hand carved from solid wood in a unique style with very intricate detail. The carvings have managed to capture a sense of expression on the faces of some of the pieces. The pieces have a very rustic quality to them and are full of character. There is a slight roughness to the detailing and no two pieces are exactly the same.

Note: This Chess Set is recommended for years 14 and above. Made in Poland.

The chess board measures 49.5cm square. The chess pieces range from 7cm to 13cm in height.
